For Rob, the CARE programme has provided important support while managing the effects of cancer alongside arthritis and long-term medication. He described how the sessions have helped him rebuild strength and confidence in his physical wellbeing, making everyday tasks such as tying shoelaces or getting in and out of a car easier to manage. Alongside the physical benefits, Rob highlighted the positive social environment created within the sessions, describing a strong sense of understanding, positivity, and community among participants.Rob also praised the programme staff, Lisa and Alex, for creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where participants are treated with patience and dignity. He described the programme as a safe, judgement-free space where people can be themselves and feel supported throughout their recovery journey.

To date, the CARE programme has supported 274 people, with 83% completing at least nine weeks of the 12-week programme. In addition, 72% of participants achieved their initial goals, while 73% went on to begin a new physical activity outside of attending the CARE sessions. A provisional impact report was also attached to the response email.

The Cancer and Rehabilitation Exercise (CARE) Programme runs on a weekly basis and is accessible through an open sign-up process. The programme is free for participants and has a safeguarding policy in place to support participant safety and wellbeing. No specific accessibility notes have been provided.
